NEOPHARM independently developed MLE® (Multi Lamellar Emulsion), a technology that mimics the lamellar structure of the lipids in the skin's stratum corneum. Under a polarizing microscope it shows a distinct Maltese-cross pattern, indicating a skin-like lamellar structure.
